Love a Doomberg and the thought process but there is also a chance that Doomberg is wrong. Much like there is a chance Johns thesis is wrong. I think Doomberg needs to be proved whereas Johns is actually happening and is the status quo.
I do find it interesting that Doomberg references china switching to LNG but the reason is more to reduce their reliance on oil imports, much the same reason they are pushing EV's and PHEV's. China has a lot of LNG ( https://www.worldometers.info/gas/china-natural-gas/) 10th in the world.
